Nerita Necklace Bead Pattern – Enchantment of the Seas!
Nerita Necklace bead pattern is for everybody who wants to learn netting stitch! It is also great for those who loves making netted necklaces and experimenting with different beads using this stitch.
Name Nerita has Greek origins and means “From The Sea.” The first version of Nerita I made was blue and it collected a lot of compliments. One of the Nerita versions I sold was red and black. It also looked stunning and the owner reported, she is happy with her choice. For pattern samples, I chose Czech glass pearls because I love pearl jewelry and consider it the most elegant and feminine.
Nerita Necklace bead pattern features Czech glass pearls and two-hole dagger beads. However, you are welcome to experiment with same size natural beads or glass crystals. Look through photos in the gallery and start creating!
I’ve been making this necklace for several years now and sold quite a few. Men are particularly responsive to this design finding its flow mesmerizing. When I have a chance to speak with them at art and craft shows, they often express their admiration and willingness to buy such jewelry for their better halves.
As my other patterns, this one is also illustrated with high-quality graphic diagrams. I explain and illustrate every step including thread paths. People, who prefer using diagrams, can easily complete this project without reading instructions.
Keep calm and add one loop at a time!
Nerita beading pattern allows you to experiment with many round beads besides glass pearls. Choose your style and go with the beads you feel comfortable wearing.
What to look for when choosing beads?
Size – the tutorial contains bead size suggestions if you would like to substitute or experiment.
Quality of holes – some natural beads are not drilled very well and therefore passing through them several times may be troublesome.
Consistency of color – multi-colored beads might interfere with the design of the necklce.
