Beaded jewelry is the best fashionable accessory anyone can choose for the art project. Unlike fine jewelry, it has much more potential expressions that some people might imagine. From dreamy lace patterns to exotic animals, beadwork can illustrate one’s vivid imagination the unique way – through woven beads.
Recently I received an invitation to participate in one of the art projects organized by Parrot Collective. Parrot is “collaboration hub, & alternative creative agency feat.” (Portland, OR)
Hazel Miller – a founder and art director of the Parrot, shared her vision and expressed her interest in featuring my jewelry in her project. She not only directed it, but she also modeled for one of the photos.
1.Hazel
Here she is wearing Rivers and Bridges necklace (there is a story behind this necklace).
2. Rob
Rob Woodcox – a Portland photographer – contributed his professional skills and experience, creating exceptional art photography pieces. Like Hazel, he modeled for the project. You see him wearing Winter Necklace.
3.Elisa
Third creation featured beautiful model Elisa and my Pearly Fish necklace.
The intrigue and the dreamy feeling of this photograph are unforgettable.
Pearly Fish is a statement necklace. This bead embroidery features sterling silver metal clay tail and freshwater pearls and seed beads. (Read more about this and other statement necklaces here).
All three parts of this dreamy idea are beautiful examples of art photography and unique design approach. I am so excited about Parrot works. I hope these young Portland artists collaborate and fascinate us more in the future.
