Earth Goddess is my first cuff bracelet design using embroidery techniques and beads. I tried the bead embroidery technique for making pendants and brooches before. Beaded cuff seemed more complicated to me, but I was wrong. Making the beaded cuff just meant more design planning and more work. I took my time to measure every step, and I ripped any unsuccessfully stitched beads without hesitation. In the end, I have no idea how much time I spent making the cuff. My mind focused on the process and the result.
I think I used about 17 kinds of beads and four types of glass crystals for the cuff. It is a little less than I initially selected for the project. Could I use fewer types of beads? Yes. Would it be the same design? No, I don’t think so.
Have you tried making a beaded cuff? Did you like to colors and the design?
