My first fluorite pendant bezel idea was all about transparency.
Fluorite stones for jewelry are usually somewhat transparent. Preserving this quality was my goal. Therefore, bead embroidery was out of the question because it requires backing, thus eliminating transparency.
The stone had 90-degree angled thick sides. What beadwork stitch would you use to bezel it?
I picked the Right Angle Weave stitch.
RAW is a fairy geometrical stitch, but it also allows incorporating or transitioning to other stitches, such as peyote.

The choice of the RAW beadwork technique around the pendant helped me to keep both sides of the stone visible. I like calling it “two-sided.”
I also used a semi-spiral stitch to decorate the bezel around the pendant.
I plan to show more of the construction of this bezel when I finish several other pendants from the same collection. Meanwhile, I am working on a holiday tutorial, which I want to finish as soon as possible.
