Miyuki Rose Color Palette

Walking through my small garden I saw one of my roses in the morning light, and I admired it for giving me a lovely rose color palette!

I selected several colors and matched them with Miyuki seed beads – round and Delica. I love how they look together!

You might like to use all these colors in one project or pick three or four of them. I am sure, they would still work harmoniously together.

Color Notes

Color #6 is a sunny and warm yellow. I picked two slightly different tones for you. However, you certainly can try matching more yellow tones choosing from your stash.

Color #5 is very light pink. You can choose from very pale pinks to pinks with deeper tones, but I see it as baby pink. However, Miyuki palette has some bubblegum Delica colors, choose pale and don’t confuse it with “dyed”, which is very dark, in my opinion.

Finish Notes

I choose a different finish of the surface of the beads because that’s how I like combining beads in one project. If you prefer one particular finish for all the beads, I believe, you will see the same color numbers with a different finish listed.

More or Less Color

It is up to you to use more or less of a particular color in your beading project. I would pick one color that would “carry” the whole palette, and add several more colors using fewer quantities of beads of those colors. For example, the dark pink color and the yellow color of this palette fill much less of the picture, than pale pink.

On the other hand, reversing it and using a lot of dark rose with a little bit of pale pink would look much more interesting with some beadwork designs.
