This mouse brooch beadwork idea was born after I made the first blue beaded mouse. What is awesome about brooches, I don’t have to spend weeks making one. The other positive outcome: I have two mice in different colors. Both of them will match more outfits than just one of them. Either one.
After all, it is a year of Rat, according to the Chinese Horoscope. So, Happy New year, dear bead enthusiasts!
Let’s see what is different in this brooch, and why would you even want to make it?
Mouse Brooch Beadwork Idea in Pink
The Ears
The first reason to make a second mouse was the ears! I guess you noticed, the ears are different. They are round, yes!
Why did I make them round? Well, just in case any of you will vote for a free tutorial, I would suggest, that round ears are slightly easier for beginners to make. The other reason is my design curiosity. I wanted to see how it looks! And if I want to see how it looks, I have to make it.
So, if you like how the ears turned out, please let me know in the comments below.
The Eyes
The second reason is the eyes.
I loved the cute eyes of the first mouse, but I wanted to see how the smaller eyes will change the look of a supposedly modest and cute little mouse.
Well, the mouse turned out cute (would you agree?), but certainly not smaller than the first one.
How do you like the eyes? Would you use other beads than 4 mm firepolished ones?
The Tail
The tail of the mouse is an important feature. I figured out how to fixate it. And now I am wondering if I should also add whiskers?
The whiskers might add a little bit to the whole project, but I am sure the mouse will look even more like a mouse. What do you think?
I am thinking of making a video tutorial for this bead embroidery idea. However, it would be nice for me to hear from you first. What do you think? Would you be interested in the beading process? Which mouse do you like more? What features are important for the tutorial? Do you care what color the new mouse is going to be?
Let me know in the comments below, and I will start working on the tutorial.
Happy beading!
